Outdoor play kitchen

Outdoor play Kitchen.

Lot's of really great ideas for outside play kitchens floating around Pinterest these days. So I thought I would come up with our own.

It is so true you can just make them out of anything. I used an old shelf bottom and two empty planters. The cat was pretty excited about it too. As you will see he is photo bombing many of the pictures. His name is Frodo.

I took the play sink out of her inside play kitchen and put some water in it. Filled a soap pump with a little bit of dish soap and water. She enjoyed pumping the soap out and washing her hands.

Someone is going to need a bath ;)

The mess half way into it. Luckily it all washed off the porch with the hose super easy.
.

She always wants to salt my husbands food for him and goes overboard. This was her opportunity to salt till she could shake no more.

Back to the sink with you...

A happy accident was the place for the "Oven" She made a ding sound when it was time for me to try the mud pies... Joy..
.

I added in some cornstarch, rice, food color but really you could just let them have fun with dirt and water It all turned black after a few mins anyway. I also got some herbs out of the herb garden she ripped them up and tossed them into the pot. Great fun!

She didn't even know she was working on motor skills and imaginative thinking all she cared about was having a great time. Isn't summer awesome! So take all your mess projects outside and get your kids out in the sunshine!
